Xinhui Lai (赖馨慧) is a Chinese singer-songwriter based in the United Kingdom.

Classically trained from a young age, Xinhui began playing the flute at the age of eight and went on to study singing at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating with a Bachelor of Music in 2016 and a Master of Arts in 2017. 

Alongside her artistic life, Xinhui pursued a career in law. She began her legal studies at the University of Glasgow in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in Scotland, England and Wales in 2026.

For Xinhui, music is a way of understanding the life. Her songs are drawn from personal memory, inner conflict, ambition, loneliness, freedom and self-discovery.

Music comes to her like water flowing – instinctive, continuous and alive. Through songwriting, she turns her own stories and feelings into intimate, poetic soundscapes.
